Vaccinopolis
The new vaccine research center, Vaccinopolis, features a reflective façade cladding that gives the building a high-tech appearance while subtly blending it into its surroundings. The challenge was to keep the total depth of the façade system under 57 mm while ensuring a sleek and flat finish. To achieve this, we adopted an innovative approach. Instead of the usual cassette system, which requires a depth of 105 mm and can cause stress when folding the edges, we used a system originally developed for glass and ceramic façades. Vertical aluminum support structures were bonded to the composite (ACM) façade panels in a controlled environment at the workshop. These panels were then hung on horizontal rails using panel hooks. This method significantly reduced installation time and ensured the desired sleek and flat appearance of the façade, making Vaccinopolis a true eye-catcher.
