Aertssen Logistics

Aertssen Group is constructing a new logistics park. In addition to the vast scale of the site and the construction of several halls, the headquarters posed the greatest design challenge for Mertens Architects. Thoughtful choices were made regarding both structural stability and façade finishing. The building was clad with a lightweight façade material that could follow the dynamic shape of the design. The façade is covered with Solid Surface, a durable, non-porous material highly resistant to weather, UV rays, and graffiti. Through thermoforming, we created visually impressive, three-dimensional curved façades. The result is a façade that excels both aesthetically and functionally in modern architecture. Located along the A11, the new headquarters can be considered a remarkable landmark.
