The Past of Limeparts and Drooghmans

Until recently, Limeparts and Drooghmans operated as separate entities. Limeparts, founded in 1989, had been an expert in metal ventilated facade systems for decades. The company offered a wide range of ferrous materials, including steel, aluminium, zinc, aluzinc, stainless steel, corten steel and composite cassettes. Drooghmans, with more than 45 years of experience in the construction sector, was an established name in the field of decorative, non-ferrous facade cladding, especially with materials such as solid surface, glass, terracotta, ceramics and Volkern and fibre cement panels. With the merger, they join forces and now offer an unparalleled range of ventilated facade materials. This collaboration makes it possible to serve the market with both metal and non-metal facade solutions.

Total care and customization

Thanks to the merger, Limeparts-Drooghmans can build on a wide range of facade materials, enabling the company to offer the right solution for every project. “Regardless of the nature of the project, we always attach great importance to customization and quality,” emphasizes Koen Vandersmissen. “With us, everything is done under one roof: from production to engineering and assembly. The customer has only one point of contact and that is a major advantage.” By integrating all steps within one company, inaccuracies, such as those that arise from combining facade elements from different suppliers, can be avoided. Limeparts-Drooghmans also takes care of the complete detailing of facades, which leads to a perfectly finished end result.

An impressive track record

The unique character of Limeparts-Drooghmans façade systems is proven by numerous prestigious projects. For example, they were appointed to realise the façade of Cordeel’s new headquarters in Temse, an honour that says a lot about their expertise. They were also allowed to clad Trespa’s experience centre in Weert, the reference in HPL panels, as well as the new Administrative Centre in Liège. “The fact that renowned contractors such as Cordeel and material suppliers such as Trespa choose us to take care of their façades shows the confidence in our quality,” says Vandersmissen proudly.

A shared future

The merger has set the path to further growth. Limeparts-Drooghmans currently has 150 permanent employees and has an annual turnover of approximately 20 million euros. The goal is to achieve a turnover growth of 20% by 2020, which amounts to 25 million euros. This requires the recruitment of approximately 20 new employees. Under the leadership of Koen Vandersmissen and Sven Drooghmans, the CEO of Limeparts and Drooghmans respectively, the merged company is working on scaling up and a broader product range. While Vandersmissen focuses on expanding the supply activities, Drooghmans focuses on construction-related products. “Both companies were healthy, but by working together we can grow further than what was possible individually,” says Sven Drooghmans. “Our commercial representatives can now offer a wide range of products, while our technical staff and project management will work closely together. This means that knowledge is redistributed and activities are centralized within Limeparts-Drooghmans.”

Future-oriented and ambitious

The merger of Limeparts and Drooghmans responds to the increasing demand for total solutions in facade construction. By offering a combination of metal and non-metal facade materials, they can meet the complex requirements of modern construction projects. This new synergy makes it possible to offer contractors a fully integrated solution, with a single point of contact for the entire process. With an ambitious plan for growth and innovation, Limeparts-Drooghmans positions itself as the market leader in the field of ventilated facade systems in the Benelux. The future looks promising for this dynamic merger company, which does not shy away from any challenge.
